It is important to encourage people attending a Catholic Charismatic prayer meeting to vocalise their praise of God. This communal activity builds an atmosphere of praise and worship, and allows newcomers who do not pray in tongues to join in the praise within the meeting.

This Litany of Praise has been used successfully as one way of encouraging people to join in the time of praise and worship. Copy it to an overhead transparency, and invite people to speak out one of these titles of Jesus. This period of praise can be sustained, encouraging people to add their own titles and words of praise, perhaps moving into a period of ‘Singing in the Spirit’ at the end.
